If you don’t follow PSJA news, you may still want to know why the names of all of the applicants for public school superintendent are not made public. You may also want to know how much the city of McAllen paid Enrique Iglesias to perform at its Christmas/Holiday Parade Concert.
To start out, though: the application deadline for the PSJA ISD superintendent’s job is today, Wednesday, Aug. 14. Unfortunately, as it is in Texas, the public will never get to see the names of all who applied. We’ll know how many applied if The Advance files a public information request. Only the name of the lone finalist, however, will be made public. Why is that?
