Police Seize Candy Laced with Marijuana
McALLEN - McAllen Police Department along with state and federal agencies seize contraband that imitates other commercially available candy. It has been determined the products are laced with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The seizure of these products occurred on Friday February 15, 2019 at a residence in the area of 25th Street and Lindberg Ave. McAllen, Texas.
The department is taking the opportunity to inform the public about this type contraband that imitates commercially available candy and is laced with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a cannabinoid identified in cannabis (marijuana). THC is the principal active constituent of cannabis.
