Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD’s Early College Program featured nationally by PBS NewsHour
PHARR – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD’s Early College program was featured last Tuesday night by PBS NewsHour as part of their series Rethinking College: Closing the Graduation Gap. The story focused on the district’s partnership with South Texas College to jointly dramatically increase the number of college graduates in the region.
A look into PSJA North Early College High School May 2015 Graduate Stephanie Castellanos’ life showcased the work of many district teachers and staff striving to provide the best academic opportunities for all PSJA students. At PSJA ISD, all students have the opportunity to earn at least 12 college hours by high school graduation, with many earning more – up to an Associate Degree.
