PHARR – Ah, those anonymous letters – the bane of public officials. They never know who really wrote them, or what the writer’s real agenda might be. On anonymous local social media sites, they’re often even worse because they’re published in the form of short posts. In fact, following last week’s Hidalgo County Democratic Primary, some anonymous Facebook page poster showed a picture of the husband of one female victor accusing him of voter fraud, promising that page’s viewers that a federal grand jury indictment was imminent.
When contacted by phone earlier this week, the husband, himself an elected official, said he had no clue as to what the post was even referring because his wife’s campaign had done everything humanly possible to stay away from any taint of
