Now the decision rests in the teachers’ hands

EmpowerED!: Yay or nay. Now the vote is in the hands of the teachers, which is expected to take place this Thursday (May 31). In advance of the vote, King sent out the Performance Contract to teachers, administrators, and board members earlier this week so they could see exactly what teachers were voting on with regard to the superintendent’s new proposal.
In advance of the Performance Contract (draft), King sent out this message: 
Teachers and staff,
“Thank you for listening and responding to the EmpowerED! proposal over the past few weeks. Your interest, questions, and concerns have been invaluable in informing me in this process and helping me fine tune the proposal.
“Attached you will find the proposed performance contract that represents the proposed agreement and relationship between the IMO and the PSJA ISD Board. You will have the opportunity to vote on this on Thursday afternoon. Two key components of this document are the Preamble and Article 7.02 (EmpowerED!).
