Mexico’s hypocrisy

Politics and elections
By G. Romero Wendorf

Like Trump or not, and most of the Valley does not like him, but he’s right about one thing: Mexicans are smarter than Americans. Especially when it comes to politics and elections and immigrants.

News came out late last week that Mexico’s leaders are unhappy over the prospects of Trump winning the presidency in November. They are unhappy that the exodus of their poor to the U.S. might be hindered if Trump beats Hillary, the presumptive Democratic nominee, and builds the border wall that he’s been talking about since announcing his candidacy last June.

If that were to happen, the flow of Mexico’s poor into this country would be slowed, and then the rich Mexicans and the politicians they support would be forced to pay for their education and healthcare, as opposed to we, the American taxpayer. Millions of impoverished Mexicans staying home is bad news for Mexico’s elite.
