Melissa Patterson trial set for Aug. 14th

Almost two years after arrest

EDINBURG – Accused murderess and former Comfort House Hospice Administrator Melissa Patterson, with a new hairdo, sans her usual olive-green pantsuit, was in state District Judge Noe Gonzalez’s 370th court late last month as her attorneys, Rick Salinas and Rene O. Flores, argued with Assistant District Attorney Joseph Orendain about trial preparations.

The trial was originally supposed to start late winter, early spring, but here we are almost in June, and the trial still hasn’t begun.
