McAllen City Manager will stay on the job
McAllen city commissioners at their regular meeting held onto their city manager and swept away the need for a city permit before residents fix rain-damaged homes.
Mayor Jim Darling announced at the end of the regular commission meeting that City Manager Roy Rodriguez has made the finals list for the city manager’s job at Brownsville “and after discussing this matter, as a show of our appreciation for the job that he’s done and will continue to do, I’d like to enentertain a motion to amend his employment contract to provide for a raise of $25,000, conditioned on his withdrawal of his application for the city manager position in the city of Brownsville.”
