WESLACO – The debate continues: are charter school good or bad for public education?
Aside from that question, there is one thing that isn’t in doubt: charter schools, some anyway, are money makers.
In 2010, Rupert Murdoch (CEO News Corp.; Fox News), who recently married Mick Jagger’s ex, Jerry Hall, in a May-December, 25-year gap, hook-up, had this to say about K-12 public education: “(It’s) a $500 billion sector in the U.S. alone that is waiting desperately to be transformed.”
