Governor re-appoints local banker as RMA chairman

Governor Greg Abbott announced Monday that local banker David DeAnda will serve another two-year term as chairman of the Hidalgo County Regional Mobility Authority (RMA).
Deanda, who works full time as president of Lone Star National Bank, was first appointed as chairman to the RMA two years ago.

Traffic Jam
For most people, the RMA may sound like just another one of those boring governmental agencies unless you’re stuck in traffic and realize that the RMA has something to do with helping ease current and future county road congestion.
