SAN JUAN -- The real problem with rumors is that many of them sound like fact; they’re so easy to believe; and hence, like the wind, they spread.
Take last week, for example. There was a widespread rumor floating around San Juan and PSJA – SJ Fire Chief Tirso Garza had resigned and had gone to work for Hidalgo County Precinct 2. On the surface, it made some sense. Special election. New city commission majority. As a consequence, some people are being moved around and replaced: the city attorney, who also served as EDC attorney; the library board; the EDC board; the city engineer; just to name a few.
