Edinburg CISD school builds outdoor classroom with Lowe’s grant

EDINBURG – Gorena Elementary School from the Edinburg Consolidated Independent School District built a pavilion that serves as an outdoor classroom thanks to a $5,000 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education® grant from the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation.
“The students and teachers love the pavilion. It makes the school feel like home,” said Norberto Ramos, a kindergarten teacher at Gorena Elementary. “The outdoor pavilion/classroom provides the teachers and students with a much-needed shaded area to study and rest.”
