The Advance News was hoping to have definitive word by this week’s deadline day (Tuesday) as to exactly why San Juan’s new mayor, Mario Garza, is no longer employed as an adult probation officer with the Hidalgo County Community Supervision and Corrections Department. Unfortunately, the fact that the July 4th holiday fell on a Tuesday may have delayed this newspaper’s access to those official documents, which should explain the full story.
Hopefully, however, we’ll have the necessary documents in hand later this week that should tell the complete story as to why Garza is no longer employed with the Adult Probation Department for which he has worked dating back approximately 15 years.
