The President last week was confronted by threats both internal and external. On the foreign front the semi-coherent dictator of North Korea threatened to shoot four missiles at the US territory of Guam. On the domestic front a battle raged between white supremacists and militant civil rights protesters in Virginia. The city of Charlottesville had attempted to move the “Unite the Right” rally out of town (fearing violence), but the ACLU defended the rally and obtained an injunction allowing it to proceed at its downtown location.
