RODOLFO “RUDY” CABALLERO

ALAMO - November 5, 1951-November 29, 2017
Rodolfo “Rudy” Caballero went to be with the Lord on November 29, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was born in Alamo, Texas to Guadalupe and Hortencia Caballero. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jose Guadalupe Caballero
Rudy lived in Alamo. He graduated from PSJA High School and Pan American University. He had a successful career working with the Texas Rehabilitation Agency as well as several other social agencies in Austin and in the Rio Grande Valley. Most recently he served as a substitute teacher with the Edinburg CISD.
Rudy was a kind and loving person who greatly enjoyed being with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his thoughtfulness and loving spirit. Rudy especially loved and was loved by his nephews and nieces. His support and his involvement in their lives will be greatly missed. He was their special Uncle Rudy who always joined them in celebrating their special life events and holidays.
Rudy is survived by brothers Ruben (Hilda), Homer (Angie) Ramiro (Mari); sisters Martha (Rene) and Carmen; and his nephews and nieces Anna Teresa, Rick, Charlie, Mirta, Linda, Andy, Sabrina, Ruben, Desi, Diel, Bill, Michael, Leonel, Cynthia, Sergio, Julian, Danny, and Diego.
We extend a special thanks to the ICU doctors and staff of McAllen Medical Center for their support and professional care.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, December 1, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
