MARIA DE JESUS “CHACHY” MARTINEZ
PHARR – Maria De Jesus “Chachy” Martinez, 57, died Saturday, December 16, 2017, at La Palmas Nursing Home.
Born in Indianapolis, IN, Ms. Martinez had lived in Pharr most of her life. After a long battle with cancer, she decided to selflessly donate her body to Science Care for research.
She is survived by her parents, Jesus and Amelia Martinez of Pharr; two siblings, Jesse Martinez of Pharr, Lali “Marti” Martinez and sister-in-law, Trista Cox-Martinez of San Antonio; and a niece, Amelinda Ladislada Cox-Martinez; cousin, Ruben (Gracie) Rodriguez, and their daughters, Jessica, Pricilla, Belinda and families, all of Pharr; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A rosary was held Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
