JOSE “JOE” FALCON, SR.
EDINBURG – Jose “Joe” Falcon, Sr., 80, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, at his residence in Edinburg surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Garciasville, Mr. Falcon had lived in Edinburg most of his life. Joe was a barber for 57 years in Edinburg, where he was well known among the community. He took delight in spending quality time with his family, especially going to his grandchildren’s sport games. In his free time, Mr. Falcon played golf with his best friend Wes and went white bird hunting with his sons. He enjoyed watching the Houston Oilers and Astros games. Joe will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Mr. Falcon is preceded in death by two sons, Rolando Noe Falcon, Jose Falcon, Jr.; his parents, Catalina and Hilario Falcon.
Joe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Frances Falcon of Edinburg; three children, Robert “Bobby” Falcon of Edinburg, Omar (Patricia) Falcon of Austin, Melissa (Johnny) Rodriguez of Edinburg; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one brother, Doroteo Falcon of Dallas; three sisters, Elma Salas of Olton, Hela Monguia, Phylis Seymour, both of Dallas.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Falcon, John Paul Rodriguez, Kimberly Rodriguez, Robin Falcon, Mark Garza and Rick Garza.
The family would like to give special thanks to all the customers of Falcon Baber Shop for their loyalty and preference for the past 57 years.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Edinburg.
