ARCELIA R. QUESADA

ALAMO – Arcelia R. Quesada, 68, went home to our Lord Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
Born in San Juan, she lived in Alamo most of her life and was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. Her pride and joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Quesada enjoyed playing chalupa any day of the week. Her smile and charisma will be missed forever by her family and friends.
Arcelia is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Lorenza Saucedo.
She is survived by husband of 46 years, Federico Quesada of Alamo; two sons, Federico (Elena) Quesada of Brownsville, Ruben Quesada of Alamo; five grandchildren, Ruben Jr., Eric, Alex, Nicole, Alyssa May; four siblings, Gloria Sauceda, Lydia Perez, Eddie Sauceda, and Santos Sauceda.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service was held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment followed at Rio Grande Valley State Veteran Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
