DANIEL T. ALANIZ, JR.

SAN JUAN – Daniel T. Alaniz, Jr., 60, died Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Daniel T. and Guadalupe Alaniz; and his stepfather, Steve Mendoza.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Juanita Maria Alaniz of San Juan; four children, Daniel T. (Ana Karen) Alaniz of Weslaco, Jessica Lynn Alaniz, Delia M. Alaniz, both of San Juan, Joshua (Bethany) Alaniz of Austin; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Gilbert, Gary, Donald A. Alaniz, all of McAllen; a sister, Velvya Niño of McAllen; and an uncle, Edelmiro Garza of McAllen.
Visitation was held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, Jan. 29, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service took place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment followed at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
