MARIA PERALEZ
Maria G. Peralez, 102, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Retama Manor in McAllen.
Maria was an active member of Las Guadalupanas, St. Vincent De Paul and Auxiliary of Legion of Mary organizations. Mrs. Peralez was very proud of her consecration to the Holy Spirit. Her smile and charisma will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dolores “Lolo” Reyna Perales (1972); a daughter, Belinda P. Robinson (2011); step-son, Francisco Perales; sons-in-law, Arturo De Luna, Sr. (1983) and Arturo Borrego, Sr. (2014).
Mrs. Peralez is survived by her daughters, Gloria P. Luberts of Seattle, WA, Flavia P. Borrego of McAllen, Dolores P. (Michael) Derrick of Spencer, OK; son-in-law, Rob Robinson of Converse, TX; eight grandchildren, Elaine L. (Michael) Kittelson of Everett, WA, Jackie L. (Scott) Jones of Cashmere, WA, Alfred J. (Tammy) Luberts III of Seattle, WA, Gloria D.L. (James) Blackford of Aransas Pass, TX, Arturo (Idalia) De Luna Jr. of McAllen, Michael Derrick Jr. of Austin, TX, Christine D. (Kevin) Caliendo of Nichols Hills, OK, Shemece Robinson of San Antonio, TX; 13 great-grandchildren, Terry Dizard of Everett, WA, Andrew Dizard, Amber Kittelson, Brittany Kittelson, all of Washington, Nikki Varela, Ashley Luberts, Cierra Luberts, WA, Luis Lorca-Meroño III of ID, Tony (Autumn) Lorca-Meroño of OR, Robyn Blackford, Zachary Kelly, both of Austin, TX, Jamie Leigh Balckford of Shilom Springs, AR, Angelina De Luna, Erick De Luna, both of McAllen, Rocco Caliendo of Nichols Hills, OK, Isaiah Derrick of Hutto, TX; four great-great-grandchildren, Alexander Dizard, Ryan Dizard, Caleb Dizard, and Logan Dizard, all of WA.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Friday, October 27, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
