Guam and Charlottesville

Last weekend there was a small free speech rally in the bandstand of a Boston park. In it a dark-skinned Indian MIT professor who had suffered under India’s racist caste system spoke eloquently against Democrat racism to an ethnically diverse group. The small crowd held up signs that said “Black Lives Do Matter” (as well as a few signs against GMOs). What made this rally unusual was that the bandstand was completely surrounded by tens of thousands of protesters protesting the little rally in the center. Black Lives Matter was part of the counter protest. I’ve yet to figure out what they found offensive in the “Black Lives Do Matter” posters. Interestingly, the press reported on the counter protest but never covered the free speech rally. We only know what was said because one person on the bandstand used his cell phone camera to record and post part of the event on You Tube.
