Shary female teacher charged with indecency with male student

In yet another arrest of a teacher charged with an improper sexual relationship with a student, the cases such as these continue to skyrocket, according to numbers released by the Texas Education Agency (TEA). In fiscal year 2017, which ended last August, teachers accused of having sexual contact with a student snowballed by 36 percent. According to a story published in The San Antonio Express-News, TEA opened 302 investigations into improper teacher-student relationships last year. The year prior, 2016 TEA investigated 222 such cases.
Last week, Monday, Feb. 12, 2018 McAllen police arrested a former female Sharyland Pioneer High School teacher, 31-year-old Vanessa Sarai Chapa McManness, and charged her with two second-degree felonies: improper relationship between an educator and a student, and indecency with a child-sexual contact. According to the criminal complaint, the student with whom she had sexual contact last summer is not yet 15 years old.
