Two former employees of the now defunct First National Bank of Edinburg, later sold to PlainsCapital Bank, have pleaded guilty to bank theft/embezzlement/bank fraud, but neither has yet to be sentenced.
Cynthia Luna Rodriguez, 45 years old, pleaded guilty late last month to stealing more than $1 million from customer accounts over an eight-year span. Her sentencing is set for April 11, 2018. Rodriguez faces up to 30 years in federal prison and a possible fine of $1 million.
