Politics galore ahead of early voting
Early voting in Hidalgo County begins Oct. 23 and runs through Nov. 3, and you know what that means, don’t you, prior to election day, Nov. 7?
Fun, fun, fun.
Politiqueras up the wazoo picking up Alzheimer’s patients from the nursing homes, snorting some coke along the way, leading them into the voting booth to “vote;” lots of campaign signs vandalized; fights at polling places; jobs promised to everyone who votes for a particular politician and/or slate even if the city and/or school district is already over-staffed (we’ll sort that out later); promises made to dump one professional service in favor of another depending on who donates the most money to the winning campaign; lies spread by anonymous faces on social media (“Dolly” could really be a hairy guy named Bert with a beer gut that won’t stop, who only works for cash when elections roll around, while living on disability the rest of the time).
