Patterson verdict shows judicial system is strong

After the jury came back with its verdict in the capital murder/theft trial of Monica Melissa (Palacios) Patterson, Hidalgo County District Attorney Ricardo Rodriguez said during a phone interview Monday that he was “very happy with the work that our office did in reference to making sure that justice was served for (both the victim, “Marty” Knell, and his family).”
The DA said he can’t really comment further about the case, however, because the capital murder trial of Patterson’s co-defendant, Angel Mario Garza, is still waiting in the wings (early December).
