Flags at half-staff: Sad, sad, sad

The county judge’s office issued a press release Tuesday about the sad death of Weslaco native Noe Hernandez:

“Hidalgo County Judge Ramon Garcia has ordered all county buildings to lower state and national flags to half-staff in honor of Weslaco native -- Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class Noe Hernandez of the U.S. Navy -- from Monday, June 26 until the day of his interment, pursuant to Chapter 3100 of the Texas Government Code and by order of Texas Governor Greg Abbott.

“Gov. Abbott issued the order at the request of Weslaco Mayor David Suarez to honor Hernandez’s service.
