The number of illegal crossings into the U.S. from Mexico has a new epicenter – the Rio Grande Valley. The Associated Press published a story last week based on an internal Border Patrol Agency report citing worries over the increased numbers. From Oct. 1 through May 17, agents operating along the Rio Grande in this part of Texas made more than 148,000 arrests.
